Trauma informed Recovery CoachHelping you find YOUR PEACEful Path to a happy and sustainable recovery
Getting sober is just the beginning. The real work starts when you have to figure out who you are underneath it all.
Because for years, alcohol (or whatever you used to cope) gave you an identity. It shaped the way you moved through the world. It masked pain, stress, and self-doubt. It gave you an escape, a release, a sense of control—or at least the illusion of it.
And then one day, you stop.

At first, it’s about breaking the habit. Getting through the cravings. Learning how to live without it.
But once you’re stable in recovery, you realise… it was never really about the alcohol.
It’s about life.
The grief that still lingers.
The burnout that won’t shift.
The exhaustion of trying to hold everything together.
The anxiety that doesn’t go away just because you quit drinking.

I find it hard to believe that these are photos of the same woman!
For me, recovery has been about facing life without a numbing agent. Learning how to move through the heavy stuff without shutting down.
I’ve walked through deep grief after losing my mum. I’ve had to face burnout and depression head-on. I’ve had to rewrite my entire understanding of who I am after being diagnosed with ADHD in my late 40s. And menopause? That threw a whole new layer of challenges on top.
Recovery didn’t fix my life. But it gave me the tools to navigate it.
And that’s what I want for you.
About Me
I’m Esther, a 52-year-old single mother, late-diagnosed with ADHD, currently navigating the rollercoaster of menopause. My life has been shaped by a long history of poor mental health, stress, and burnout, and I had a big crash last year that reminded me—recovery isn’t just about staying sober, it’s about constantly learning how to live.
I found healing through yoga, walking, and writing—practices that helped me process my emotions, reconnect with myself, and build a life that actually feels good. I love hiking, being in nature, music festivals, and live gigs. I love to dance, watch comedies, and I’m slightly obsessed with cult documentaries and podcasts. And recently, I’ve fully embraced my crazy cat lady era with two beautiful Ragdoll cats.
More than anything, I love my family, my friends, and saying yes to adventure.
I used to think all I had to do was stay sober, but last year’s breakdown was a wake-up call—recovery is a lifelong journey, even if I don’t believe addiction is. That’s why I do this work. Because I know what it’s like to feel lost in recovery. And I know that a better life is possible—one that isn’t just about avoiding alcohol, but about actually living.
You don’t have to figure this all out alone. If you’re feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed in recovery, I see you. I’ve been there. And I know there’s a way forward.
Let’s find it together.

Who Are You Without the Addiction?
That’s the real question recovery asks of us.
It’s about uncovering who you are underneath all the things you thought you were—the labels, the coping mechanisms, the roles you played to keep going.
Because once the addictive behaviour is gone, the real challenge begins. How do you handle life? How do you move through the hard days? How do you build a life that actually feels good?
That’s where coaching comes in.
You Are Not Powerless.
You are stronger than you think. You don’t need to follow anyone else’s recovery blueprint—you can create your own. One that works for you.
As your recovery coach, I’ll help you:
✔️ Find your way forward, even when you feel stuck.
✔️ Navigate stress, emotions, and cravings in a way that actually works for you.
✔️ Reconnect with yourself—without shame, without guilt, without judgment.
✔️ Build a recovery that feels like freedom, not restriction.
I’ll be your coach, your guide, your no-bullshit, compassionate support. I’ll hold you accountable, celebrate your wins (big and small), and remind you of your strength when you doubt yourself.
